Mauritius
An island of 720 square Miles in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar, Mauritius has been settled by people from many cultures, and the current occupants are a rich mixture of cultures, races and religions. Mauritius has a busy Capital City, but is otherwise very much a tropical island paradise with beautiful beaches and coral reefs.
Mauritius was once the home of the Dodo, a flightless bird that became extinct in the 17th century.
